Ora Reed's debut CD has its origins in a roundabout journey spanning countries in Europe, Asia, North and South America. Beginning in the red clay hills of Mississippi, this classically trained pianist has spent the last eight years honing her craft in Japan.

Former music teacher, TV presenter, executive assistant, political consultant, Ora has returned to the musical roots of her childhood. She served as accompanist for a German tour with the Grace Bumbry Vocal Ensemble which included a performance in Carnegie Hall. Working at the Westin Tokyo for four years and the Kyoto Takaragaike Prince Hotel, Ora has developed a strong base of loyal fans. This CD is dedicated to these special listeners.

A velvety-textured mezzo, Ora is noted for her ability to communicate the essence of whatever she sings. She renders vocal selections with an ease resembling the flowing silk she often wears. A recent cancer survivor who sings from the heart, Ora offers a wide-ranging repertoire that embraces jazz standards, gospel and pop, all of which she calls American classics. Usually performing solo, she has carefully chosen talented Japanese musicians to enhance her sound on this project. Once referred to as a Cafe Society singer, she has consistently wowed audiences worldwide. It's been a long
time coming, but...

This one's for YOU!!!!

Ora's sound is always pouring out of her
soul; so spiritual, rhythmical and natural, which I like.
